Support the candidates who agree with Chris Cannon about energy policy. Around this country there are candidates in the State Senates and Legislatures, Counties, and Towns who support America’s energy independence through increasing oil supplies. It doesn’t mean we don’t also support common sense sustainable energy, it just means we took Economics 101 and understand the Law of Supply and Demand. As a retired Navy Supply Corps Commander, I also understand that our energy dependence, and the US failure to balance its budget, is holding us for ransom. Our lives are at risk with the current failed food-to-fuel policy which starves the 3rd world and creates a breeding ground for jihadist recruitment. I myself am running for the Washington State Legislature, 24th District, as a fiscal conservative Republican, against the Democratic Legislative Majority Leader. If not us, who? If not now, when?
I was introduced to you tonight on the Glenn Beck show and agreed with everything you had to say. I am one of millions of Americans who are really starting to get hurt by these ridiculous gas prices which are causing record inflation numbers everywhere in our economy. I am an individual who does not know what is around the corner for tomorrow. WIll I have enough money to feed my family? Will I have to dig into my savings if I am laid off from work? Will the United States be a 3rd world country tomorrow? I think that we need to focus on future techs, but lets not forget about the present. In order for us to see the future, we must focus on today because without a today there is no future. Lets cut the redtape jargon and fast track legislation to get the job done. I believe you are the man for the job. Good Luck.
We defiantely support Chris Cannon. I mean what does it take for America to wake up. We have the means to be energy independent so why aren’t we? Our future is at risk here. The so to speak of “alternative” energy is not happening and probably won’t in our generation. We need to start supplying our own oil. The thing that gets us the most is that when people are being interviewed about energy alternatives, they are normal consumers, not the people who have to haul heavy equipment around all day to get to their job sites. For instance, what about the lawn care and landscaping industry that use petroleum based products and travel to job sites, I don’t think an electric vehicle can pull a trailor loaded with equipment that weighs a ton. What about the over the road drivers who deliver all of our supplies to the stores, it doesn’t magically appear on the shelves. I heard an owner-operator state that he had run 6 days and made $2200 and it took $2400 to fill his tanks up for the next weeks run, so he is paying to work. Let me ask you, how much longer is that going to go on? America is so bogged down with what is “politically correct or environmental friendly”, have we forgotten the important issues here? Life itself! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t believe in harming nature, but to halt energy production because of some bug or woodpecker or whatever, that hasn’t been seen in 40 years, come on. We need to get back to the basics of life and use the brain God gave us and quit running around acting stupid because of it. Right now we need to address the problems that face millions of us-gas,food or medicine? Which one can I afford to live without. No gas, no way to work to buy food, medicine, shelter, clothing, etc. And you think crime is bad now, wait until we’ve stood around and done nothing to help the oil prices or look for oil. We say drill, drill, drill and use the oil shale to produce more oil. America needs to become self sufficent again so our children and grand children will have a future!
I saw you on Glenn Beck earlier and completely agree with you! Gas prices are out of control, and we (America) need to stand on our own 2 feet-and your idea of the shale oil is tremendous! You give the government a good name (I really can’t think of anyone that I agree with more on the issues that are important to me-gas prices being one of them). I wish you luck!
Like Mr Manduk, I was also introduced to Chris Cannon, along with John Peterson, from Pennsylvania, on tnite’s episode of Glenn Beck. I am now up at 12:30 PM writing my first blog ever. With most others like myself, work for living, tax-payer (40 years plus), I am fed up with the lip service that we have been subjected to since the beginning of politics, I suppose. I have contacted each of the elected officials from my state tonite to voice my plea for their vote tomorrow for Peterson’s “Drill here, drill now” . Akin to millions of others in this country, I am not politically versed. I just awaken every morning, thank God above for another day, put one foot in front of the other, and head off to work to support my household and hopefully have a little left over to put toward retirement. Because I spend 45 plus hours at a jobsite, another 25 plus hours a week maintaining a household, 5 hours a week in community service, 10hours a week in church affiliated service, 10 hours a week family time, 7 hours a week practicing hygiene, 5 hours a week getting to and from work, I wind up with hopefully the recommended 8 hours a night for sleep ( that is if i eliminate all varities of any hobbies or entertainment). This doesn’t leave much time remaining to get educated to the REAL facts of what is currently going on in our country and what is being permitted in Congress. I think most Americans are like me, tired of lip service….tired of talking points…tired of speech writers….ready for someone to truly represent the majority of taxpaying citizens..oh yes, I am biased and politically incorrect …I said TAXPAYERS. But, sadly, I think the real truth is that our government (at least the lip service ones) realize the taxpayers schedule and have us “over a barrel” when it comes to being accountable to “we the people”. They KNOW we are tired and they are NOT accesible to we peons ( only to campaign fund contributors). I wish Glenn Beck would run for whichever office is truly the one that makes and enforces decisions and I would dedicate some of my sleep hours to get him elected! I am unsure of the timeline when we started being “sold out”, but I know we have an avalanche effect and appears no help in sight….unless, we get Chris Cannon’s elected…John Petersons re-elected. The most I have to offer currently is my prayers to God above for our Congress to be totally revamped and committed to serving the United States first and foremost in every issue that is prevalent on every taxpayers heart. God bless the USA and I will thank Him for another day if it His will that I have another one to serve. Good luck Mr’s. Cannon and Peterson…and kudos to you, Mr Dutton as you elect to get into public service
First of all let me say that I am a Democrat and consider myself an environmentalist. I saw you on Glenn Beck and I agreed with you 100%.
I would like to say something to all my people out there who cry and complain about drilling in America; what better way to assure the oil you’re putting in your car is coming from a safe-to-the-environment oil well than to keep them right here in our own back yards. I think the extreme environmentalist do more harm to the WORLD environment because they help create the dependency on foreign oil. I seriously doubt Venezuela and Saudi Arabia put the environment first and the oil second when they drill.
